THE SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
We are all on a spiritual journey. The great reformer, Martin Luther wrote, “This life therefore, is not godliness but the process of becoming godly, not health but getting well, not being but becoming, not rest but exercise. We are not now what we shall be, but we are on the way. The process is not yet finished, but it is actively going on. This is not the goal, but it is the right road. At present, everything does not gleam and sparkle, but everything is being cleansed.”
It doesn’t matter if we are lost, aimlessly wandering around, stuck or headed the wrong direction--it doesn’t matter if we are sprinting, walking or even crawling--God takes us wherever we are at, and if we ask Him, He will guide our journey.
God has designed that His church become a company of people, traveling together – helping each other, holding each other accountable, walking in love. Our guide map, our compass on our journey is God’s Word--“a light to our path.”
Living Water’s Mission serves as a Reference Point, rooted in scripture, which will help us stay on the path. Jesus said, “Enterbythe narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way thatleads todestruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14
